augur - portend a good or bad outcome
nonsequitur - a conclusion that does not logically follow from its supporting arguments (premises). Sometimes used as a comedic device.
halcyon - 1. happy, joyful, carefree, 2. calm, peaceful: halcyon weather
rarefied - 1. of air (containing less oxygen than usual) 2. esoterically distant from the lives and concerns of common-folk (e.g. rarefied world of mathematical logic)
cumbrous - cumbersome (from Middle English) e.g. cumbrous methods
computability - the study of the abilities and limitations of digital computers. Field of research founded by Alan Turing, through his paper "On Computable Numbers with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem"
